Before existence comes demise.

Markus and Rebecca pull up at the apartment, Rebecca leaves the car and heads to the door. Markus drives away and goes to park the car.

His mobile starts to ring.

“Hey, Graham”
“Markus, can you do a quick act of kindness, which I know you are capable of doing”
Markus cuts him off.
“Thanks Graham hey. Just quit the sweet-talking and get to what you want. Unless this is something ghost related. Ha, and remember, I’m ready NOT to believe you” Markus turns the wheel and pulls off into the side street.
“Can you drop past the book shop? They will know what to give you”
Markus could feel Graham grinning.

Rebecca slides the key into the lock. It fells like she is trying to push it into a sponge. She turns the key, and the door lock clicks. Pushing on the door, it jams, there is a sticky substance covering the frame. She pushes the door and the slime breaks away and the door swings open. Rebecca steps in. the carpet is sticky, her heel sticks to the floor,
“Damnit, what the hell?” She reaches down and pulls on her shoe. It rises off the carpet followed by a trail of slime. She looks up to see the mess that surrounds the kitchen, the fridge door is broken off its hinges, all the food that was inside it is spread all over the room. More of this slime drips from the roof.
“This is great, just great” Rebecca goes for her mobile phone, she reaches into her handbag, looking around. There is a scratching noise it comes from upstairs. She places her mobile back in her bag and heads to the staircase.

She walks up the stairs, this slime is everywhere, and each step has rubbish all over it. More food scraps, standing at the top of the stairs she looks down the hallway. She opens the main bedroom door. The room is untouched. The scratching starts again. She spins on her heal and to the bathroom, right opposite the main bedroom door. She pushes the door open.
“Oh my lord” Rebecca sighs.
Inside stood a Class 5 Semi-Daemon Phantasm. Standing almost 6 foot tall, its legs look of that of a dog, its head is horned, three growing out each side of its head. It turns toward Rebecca. Shocked, frozen in her heals. The Daemon reaches out and roars. Its face changes, more horns pop out of its face, its jaw drops and its tongue slashes out, and whips between its rotten, decaying teeth. The scream is hideous; Rebecca could feel the heat of its breath blasting past her. She turns to run, but its too late. The Class 5 rushes towards her. She tries to scream but nothing comes out.

Markus pushes the lock for his car, and starts to stroll to the apartment. He hears the smashing of glass, the scream of a woman. He looks up to see the body falling from an apartment building. He knows that red skirt. His heart sinks. Pulse rises.
“REBECCA!” Markus starts running, he hears the roar of the Class 5. Then the almighty smashing of the rest of the wall as it comes flying out of the room and into the sky. He races to Rebecca’s body. It’s lifeless, limp and bloody.
“NO!! OH GOD NO!!” He holds her body, pulling it to him “This cant be” tears rolls down his cheeks, his face is burning up.
